Hangover-free beer sounds great! Maybe NOT as great as “free beer” but at least scientist in Australia have their priorities right. As reported by TDB, a team of researchers in the Griffith Health Institute in Queensland:
Manipulated the electrolyte levels of two commercial beers, one regular strength and one light beer, and gave it to research subjects who’d just lost a significant amount of sweat by exercising… then used several measures to monitor the participant’s fluid recovery to the different beers.
They also lowered the levels of alcohol in the beer to help with hydration.
The results: The “manipulated” light beer was actually a third more effective at hydrating a person, more so than a normal beer.
While we do agree with the scientist on focusing hangover research on electrolyte minerals and dehydration, now you’re just drinking a watered-down light beer with some salt in it!!!
Here’s a better idea – drink what you want! Then at the end of the night, drink KYOOR to help you recover while you sleep!
